MULTAN: Senior politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has warned country’s political leadership, including Asif Ali Zardari and Imran Khan that future signs are not good after introducing the practices of vote snatching and they will be the next target of political victimisation.

While addressing a press conference at Multan Press Club on Friday, he said that PPP and MQM Senators polled their votes for an independent candidate by force instead of democratically.

He added, “I urge chief of army staff, ISI and chief justice of Pakistan, Mian Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari and Sirajul Haq to save the Constitution. Do not give an opportunity to anyone to break the country.”

Javed Hashmi predicts political scenario after formation of caretaker government

Makhdoom Javed Hashmi predicted neither Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi nor Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah would form the caretaker set-up.

PPP chairperson Asif Ali Zardari would be the prime target of political victimisation soon after the formation of caretaker government.

He said, “Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mariam Nawaz will be in jail when the caretaker government would be formed.” Hashmi pointed out that he feared about anarchy in the country and leaders should realise they were driving the country to destruction.

He said that dissolution of parliament was planned two and half years before but he exposed the whole plan and sacrificed his seat after resigning from the National Assembly.

He said the Senate election was the result of PML-N’s poor preparations because the party had forgotten the conspiracy hatched two and a half years before.

Makhdoom Hashmi said soon caretaker government would be formed without consultation with prime minister and leader of the opposition.

The Election Commission of Pakistan would intervene into formation of caretaker government but finally, the Supreme Court of Pakistan would form the caretaker government, he opined.

Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said the caretaker set-up would postpone the next general elections for an indefinite period.
