Security forces conducted Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) in various areas of Charsadda, Kurram and South Waziristan Agency as part of the ongoing operation Radd ul Fasaad yesterday night, said the army's media wing.

A huge quantity of arms and ammunition including Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), submachine guns, RPG 7, suicide jackets, and a large quantity of various calibre ammunition were recovered.

Terror Bid Foiled: IED found, defused in Orakzai

Earlier today, an IED planted in Shekhan Shakartangi area of Central Orakzai agency had been defused by security officials.

According to officials of security forces, the explosive device was planted on the edge of the main road in Shekhan area of the Orakzai Agency.

The bomb was timely detected and defused. No loss of life and property has been reported in the incident, added the security officials.

However earlier this month, security forces were able to recover a large cache of arms and ammunition while clearing minefields laid by terrorists in areas of South Waziristan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the drive took place in the Nankae, Raghzae, Chargolai and Gurgurai Zafar Khel areas.

The recovered arms and ammunition included 82mm mortar, light machine guns, RPG-7 guns, submachine guns,  303 rifles, hand grenades, anti-tank mines.
