Upper age limit raised for SPSC examinations

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah raised the age limit in hopes that everyone could benefit from it

KARACHI: Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has approved a raise in the upper age limit for all candidates hoping to appear in the combined competitive examination, 2018 from 30 to 32. The upper age limit for scheduled caste candidates has been raised from 31 to 33 years, while the age limit for government servants wanting to sit for Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) combined competitive examinations has been raised from 35 to 37 years.

The CM earlier received an application for relaxation in the upper age limit for the SPSC combined competitive examinations 2018. "I will not favour select candidates," he said, rejecting the application.



He later decided to relax the upper age limit for all candidates so everyone can benefit.

Shah earlier approved the general relaxation of the upper age limit by 15 years for posts in government departments during the period from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018, except the police service and posts to be filled through the SPSC’s combined competitive examination.
