FAISALABAD: We have to take measures to polish entrepreneurial skills of the youth to make them self-employed. Poverty and unemployment are one of the biggest challenges which we are facing.

These views were expressed by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Director Tasleem Qazi while addressing a seminar on microfinance at Iqbal Auditorium, University of Agriculture Faisalabad,  a press release issued on Tuesday stated.

SBP Chief Manager Waqas Kashif, UAF Financial Assistance Director Dr Hafeez Sadaqat, Deputy Chief Manager Muhammad Akbar,   Management Training Officer Qamar Zaman, Dr Khalid Shouq and others were present. Tasleem Qazi said that with startup companies, the students could become entrepreneurs that will help them succeed in their lives.  He added that they were providing microfinance for studies and business purposes.

Dr Hafeez Sadaqat stressed upon the students to think of out-of-the-box solutions and start new businesses in order to raise the country to new heights of economic progress and prosperity.
