QUETTA: A recent news report highlights the increasing number of female drug addicts in Afghanistan. It is shocking to know about the extent of production of drugs and drug abuse among the young population in Afghanistan. Not quite long ago, a UN report stated that the country has the highest rate of drug production in the world. Much like the case of polio, increased production of drugs in Afghanistan too is likely to have its impact on Pakistan, particularly in the areas adjoining the neighboring country.
