Sindh government launched another programme with assistance from the World Bank
KARACHI: The Sindh government has launched yet another programme with assistance from the World Bank to improve the pace of development in Karachi. The programme specifically aims to target areas of transportation, town planning and water and sanitation. The launch of the programme is undeniably admirable, although previously similar programmes to target similar areas of development have been launched but they showed little results. Conditions have not changed significantly owing to the incompetence of the departments and the ministers concerned of the incumbent government.
With its recent initiative, the provincial government must assure employment of the funds in the respective projects and programmes till their completion.
