“I am the daughter of a brave leader who cannot be removed through mere conspiracies. The passion of those supporting Nawaz Sharif is more than those resorting to below-the-belt tactics,” said the PML-N leader on Sunday while addressing a social media convention of the party at Liaquat road, Rawalpindi.
Maryam described the social media convention as “a revolution which cannot be stopped”. She said the opponents adopted cheap tactics as “they know their defeat is imminent”. She urged them to come forward and fight Sharif instead of hiding.

She said the Panamagate Joint Investigation Team (JIT) could not establish anything, adding that not even six paisa worth of corruption could be established in six months against her family.

The former PM’s daughter questioned as to who introduced “a shameful culture of standing over containers and talking about wet clothes and grabbing [others] by the neck”.

She claimed it was only Sharif who provided metro bus, cardiology units and flyovers.
“Nawaz Sharif had ensured Pakistan’s progress to greater heights, and his effort for increasing electricity production is just one example. It was only because of him that Pakistan became an atomic power,” she said.
Maryam then lamented that even though her mother was suffering from cancer, her family was not being allowed to go to London to see her.
She also welcomed youngsters joining the party’s social media wing, saying the public thronged the PML-N conventions while the rallies of the opponents had empty seats.
Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Maryam Aurangzeb, PML-N leaders Capt (retd) Muhammad Safdar, Pervaiz Rashid, Malik Ibrar, Hanif Abbasi, Sardar Naseem, Shakeel Awan, Raja Hanif advocate and others were also present at the convention.
