Aircraft crashes in western Germany, two dead

Cause of the air crash remains unclear so far

FRANKFURT: A small aircraft crashed on Saturday afternoon in the western German city of Bensheim, leaving two people dead, local media Hessenschau reported.

The tragic accident took place around 3:40 p.m.local time, about 40 minutes after the aircraft had taken off from Worms for a round-flight, according to local police.

In addition to the pilot, an 18-year-old female passenger on board lost life too.

The cause of the air crash remained unclear so far.
