Balochistan governor for establishing more industrial zones

Achakzai says economic zones will start new era of development

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai has underlined the need for establishing maximum industrial zones in the province in order to utilise minerals and local human resource.
“Balochistan is rich enough in natural resources, including minerals,” said the governor while speaking at a ceremony regarding establishment of Bostan Industrial Estate.

He said, “Establishing economic zones under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is of great importance as they will start a new era of development and prosperity in the province by promoting economic and trade activities.”
Chief Secretary Aurangzeb Haq, Commissioner Quetta Amjad Ali Khan, Director General Industries Saira Ata and a large number of tribal elders were present on the occasion.
The governor directed all concerned departments and institutions to ensure provision of basic infrastructure and facilities in the Bostan Industrial Estate for the development of the area and making the estate beneficial.

He also directed the chief secretary to approach concerned authorities for the provision of water, electricity, gas and other facilities in the economic zone.

He also urged upon concerned departments to complete the road from Mughal Kot to Quetta as soon as possible and other federal and provincial governments should provide required funds.
