Army chief visits Panu Aqil Division on eastern border

The ISPR says COAS lauds operational readiness of the troops

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited operations area of Panu Aqil Division on eastern border, said a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.

The Army chief was briefed about operational preparedness of the formation. The COAS appreciated the operational readiness and high morale of the troops, the press release added.

Earlier, the Army chief visited Salehpat to witness the All Pakistan Mehran Shooting Championship as chief guest. The Pakistan Army won the four-day championship.

The COAS appreciated the interest and high shooting standards of the civilian firers. National Assembly opposition leader Khurshid Shah, other dignitaries from the area, Karachi Corps Commander Lt General Shahid Baig Mirza, Pannuaqil Division GOC Major General Zafarullah Khan and other civil military officials were present.
