Deconstruction : RDA demolishes four unauthorised buildings

DG orders to tear down illegal buildings without hesitation

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) demolished four illegally constructed buildings at Green Space Rawat.

The demolition squads of the authority tore down two booking offices, two residential rooms, as well as, boundary walls at Green Space and Pakistan Atomic Energy Employees Housing Society. Moreover, they also sealed four illegal shops in Shah Faisal Colony.

Under the directions of RDA Director General (DG) Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, the Building Control Wing has been actively conducting shutdown operations against illegal commercial and residential construction activities including plazas, shops, schools and other illegal land encroachments within the RDA controlled area in Rawalpindi.

The owners of the properties Qaisar Hanif Khan and Muhammad Ameen constructed illegal residential buildings and illegal shops in violation of the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and RDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2007.
