Motive unknown: Local leader of JI shot dead in Tarnol

Tarnol SHO Fayyaz Shinwari says case had been registered against unidentified persons

ISLAMABAD: Unidentified people gunned down a political worker and school teacher in Dhok Paracha near Tarnol on Friday morning. Imdadul Haq, the victim, was president of JI Youth in Union Council 48 Sarai Kharbooza.

Tarnol SHO Fayyaz Shinwari said a case had been registered against unidentified persons who shot the victim dead for unknown reasons.

He said Imdad was killed early in the morning on Friday. The victim hailed from Kalam in Swat district and was presently residing in Tarnol. He ran a private school in the area.

Police shifted the body was shifted to Pims for medico-legal formalities where JI leaders also visited the family.

The body was handed over to the heirs for burial after completing legal formalities.

SHO Shinwari said it would be too early to comment on the matter as the investigations were at a nascent stage.
