8 people murdered over disputes

LAHORE: Eight people, including four minors, were murdered in two different areas of Lahore on Wednesday.

A man allegedly killed his real brother, sister-in-law and two minor nephews in Shadbagh over a monetary dispute. The killer made good his escape by taking advantage of the dark due to loadshedding in the area.

Police identified the killer as Muhammad Ishtiaq, who has a criminal record and is wanted for a number of cases.

In another incident, an unidentified man shot dead four members of a family in the Bhatti Gate area of the city. The victims have been identified as Usman, his wife Rukhsana and their two children: three-year old Minahil and infant Harris.

Police have arrested a suspect for his possible involvement in the murders.
