5 times Bollywood actors nailed playing psychopaths
King Khan has made the list!
Many Bollywood film-makers shy away from incorporating psychopathic characters in their movies. However, there have been some films in which the actors playing psychopaths have done a tremendous job. Compiled from Filmfare, here is a list of five actors who nailed the role of a psychopath.
1. Shah Rukh Khan in 'Darr'
King Khan plays Rahul Mehra, a man whose obsession for Kiran, essayed by Juhi Chawla, makes him fearless. It is in Darr, that SRK trademarked his "K... K... K... Kiran," dialogue. The film was also a turning point for the 52-year-old actor's career.
2. Kajol in 'Gupt'
Gupt was the first time Kajol played a negative character on screen. The murder mystery boosted her career and earned her a Filmfare award for playing a psychopathic killer.
3. Riteish Deshmukh in 'Ek Villain'
Riteish vents out his frustration by killing women who have been mean to him. The 39-year-old actor did a very convincing job with the role he was offered.
4. Nawazuddin Siddiqui in 'Raman Raghav 2.0'
Inspired by the real life incidents of a serial killer, Nawazuddin essays the role of a psychopathic murderer. His performance in the film was lauded by the audience and critics, both.
5. Ashutosh Rana in 'Sangarsh'
Sangarsh was inspired by the Hollywood cult classic, The Silence of the Lambs. Ashutosh's character as a religion fanatic who kidnaps young boys for sacrifice earned him a lot of praises.
