This was stated by SBBWU Peshawar Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Razia Sultana during a two-day event to mark International Women’s Day at the varsity.
On Wednesday, the first day, students participated in different competitions such as sports, declamation, songs, photography, cooking and painting. On the second day, the university decorated stalls with traditional, handmade clothes, shawls and food. Musical activities were also arranged for students and other participants.
Dr Sultana shared her experience and struggles. She encouraged the students to actively participate in every field of life and motivated them to step forward rather than back from any work because they are women.
The SBBWU vice chancellor appreciated the PTI-led government and the role of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) which provides 80 per cent of their annual budget.
