Van-Tractor Collision: Four die, seven injured

The driver of the van fled scene. The van was taken into police custody.

CHICHAWATNI: Four of a family, including three children, were killed and seven people were injured in a collision between a van and a tractor trolley on Monday.

Police said that a speeding van, on its way to Vehari, collided with a tractor trolley from the opposite side near chak 37.

Muneer Ahmed, 45, Haider Ali, 7, and Farhat, 5, all residents of died Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore, died on the spot.

Eight people were injured and taken to tehsil headquarter hospital where a child succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

The injured were identified as Muhammad Ikhlaq, Shehnaz Bibi, Muhammmad Yasin, Sabiran Bibi, Hassan, Parveen Bibi and two children.

The driver of the van fled scene. The van was taken into police custody.
