Before indictment: Accused seek ‘readable’ copies of reference

Dar informed court that over 700 pages were not readable and 70 other needed to be translated

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court on Wednesday issued a notice to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after two accused facing supplementary reference along with former finance minister Ishaq Dar sought legible and readable copies of the reference and attached material before their indictment.

Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir issued notice to NAB for March 12 after the accused, Naeem Mahmood, and one of Dar’s employees since 1991, Syed Mansoor Raza Rizvi, standing trial in the supplementary reference filed against them and Dar informed the court that over 700 pages were not readable and around 70 pages needed to be translated.



The suspects through their counsel Qazi Misbahul Hassan filed an application under Section 265-C of the Criminal Procedure Code for legible and readable copies of the pages.

The court would take up the matter on March 12.
