The students, hailing from 10 government schools across the province along with their teachers and parents were acknowledged in a ceremony organised by the Peace Education and Development Foundation (PEAD) in Peshawar on Wednesday.
PEAD Executive Director Sameena Imtiaz said that the ceremony does not mark the completion of a project, rather it was the commencement of a collaboration between parents and teachers for vital investment in establishing a culture of reading and for improving the quality of education.
Only by working together, she pointed out, can we make a difference.
“I praise the provincial government, teachers, writers and the parents for playing their leading part in the success of this programme,” she added.
