According to a document from the office of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) District Magistrate, the Safe City Project will set up cameras at key points at the venue and along major routes.
The government will also install the NADRA Verisys System at the venue before March 15.
Moreover, the police will create a comprehensive traffic plan to stop and divert traffic away from the capital on March 23, as well as on March 19 and 21. The police and assistant commissioners have also been tasked with removing all stalls, carts and makeshift shops on Khanna Bridge, Kurri Road, Sohan Road, Koral and their surrounding areas.
Further, Section 144 will be imposed in the city to prevent pigeon and kite flying in areas adjacent to routes of the parade and the Nur Khan airbase.
A ban will also be placed on aerial firing, wedding ceremonies and other functions within a three-kilometre radius of the parade ground and construction work on projects from March 15 onwards.
Seminaries within a three-kilometre radius will also be closed. Moreover, the government has decided to shut down recreational spots for the national holiday including Margalla Hills trail, Lok Virsa, Pakistan Monument, Shakarparian, and all recreational places on Garden Avenue.
Garbage dumps from both sides of the Islamabad Expressway will be removed while dumping of garbage in Korang will be barred.
Further, dairy farms in Mohmmadi and Sohan will be displaced from March 10 to 23.
New commissioner
Meanwhile, the Establishment Division on Tuesday notified that Aftab Akbar Durrani will be the new Chief Commissioner of ICT.
Durrani, a BPS-20 officer, was currently serving as the joint secretary of the Gilgit-Baltistan Council Secretariat.
