According to sources, children found the bomb lying in the field near Zakir Khel area of District Mir Ali and brought it to their home assuming it to be a toy.
Suddenly, the bomb exploded injuring a 20-year-old girl who was transported to Bannu for medical assistance.

Hospital sources told The Express Tribune that they had to amputate the girl's hands due to the injuries sustained during the blast.
Similar incidents have taken place in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) where children often mistake bombs as toys.
Last year, a child was killed while six others were severely injured after an explosive device they were playing with went off in Pishtakhara area on the outskirts of Peshawar.
