Teen held for killing two men during robbery

LAHORE: Liaquatabad Police arrested on Friday a teenage boy who had killed two men and injured another during a robbery bid at a foam shop.

The suspect, identified as Muhammd Abdullah, had barged into the shop at Choti Phatki Kacha Jail Road a couple of days ago and opened fire at shop’s owner, Bashir, 60, salesman  Sajid, 30, and Bashir’s son Tanveer, when they resisted and got away with cash and other valuables.

The victims were admitted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced Bashir and Sajid dead while Tanveer was under treatment.

Upon getting information, a police team reached the spot, collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements of the witnesses.

Police also recovered a CCTV footage from a camera installed in the shop. After identifying the suspect, a police team led by SHO Liaqatabad Inspector Asif Ata, took the suspect into custody.

During investigations, the suspect told police that he was a student of class 9th.
