QUETTA: The opening ceremony of the Makran Festival 2018 was held at Kech stadium in Turbat on Friday. The three days festival was organized following the Baloch cultural day for further promoting the local heritage.
“The overwhelming turnout at the stadium speaks volumes about the zeal and enthusiasm of the people of Balochistan towards Pakistan”, said Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General, Asim Saleem Bajwa while speaking as the chief guest.

Lt. General Bajwa further stated that development projects under the “Khushal Balochistan Program” are close to completion and are designed to cater to the people in the most efficient manner.
Moreover, various different sports along with a livestock display were the highlight of the day and were largely appreciated by the audience. Bajwa and other local notables distributed prizes amongst winners of different competitions and also provided 118 laptops to deserving students of the region.
