At your fingertips: Travel agencies, packages data to be put online soon

In a bid to increase the accessibility of tourists and tour operators, the provincial tourism department has directed to upload all necessary information on to its newly launched website.

The Directorate of Tourist Services (DTS) has been directed to put information about travel packages, hotels, restaurants and scenic resorts on the website to attract tourists to the province.

The directives were issued by Sports, Tourism, Archaeology, Museum, Culture and Youth Affairs Department Secretary Muhammad Tariq at a meeting on Friday.

Tourism Corporation Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) General Manager (Admin and Properties) Sajjad Hameed, DTS Director Muhammad Arabi, Manager Marketing Hassina Shaukat and other officials attended the meeting.

Briefing the meeting, Arabi said that the DTS had to register 1,411 hotels, 732 restaurants, 1,554 travel agencies and that all the vital data had been uploaded to the management information system of the website.
