KESC CBA on hunger strike: Sindh High Court declares strike illegal

A division bench of the Sind High Court has declared hunger strike of the KESC CBA illegal.

KARACHI: A division bench of the Sind High Court has declared hunger strike of the KESC CBA illegal and has directed DG Rangers, DIG and CCPO Karachi to ensure that KESC’s work is not obstructed and that its employees are protected.

The court has also directed the KESC CBA to avoid causing any injury, harm or damage to the management of the KESC and issued notices to the advocate Sindh and prosecutor general Sindh to appear before the court on May 13.

Muhammad Imran | 12 years ago | Reply I am resident of DHA Karachi and have been out of electricity for more than 36 hours. I want to understand what KESC is doing do resolve the issue, solve complaints and most importantly compensate consumers who are affected due to this dispute.
MAD | 12 years ago | Reply Well if this lasts long enough I suppose KESC will be able to solve its problem of excess employment. Dosnt seem like a bad idea.
