Cricket: Nazimabad Sports claim PCL title

KARACHI: Nazimabad Sports (NS) claimed the Pakistan Cricket Twenty20 League (PCL) title after outclassing CA Sports Sialkot by six wickets in the final.

Junaid Naeem was the star with bowling figures of four for 12 as NS restricted their opponents to 105. Mohammad Azeem (28), Shahid Yousuf (26) and Shoaib Malik (16) were the notable scores for the Sialkot outfit. Faraz Patel (two for 22) was the other main performing bowler for the NS.

In reply, the winners achieved the target after losing four wickets, Ovais Rehmani (28) and Mirza Shoaib (24) being their top scorers.

Khyber Greens’ captain Gohar Ali took the best player of the tournament accolade for his all-round performance.
