Popular singer seems to be losing out on songs because of the Bollywood superstar
Two years ago, the media was shaken by an apology posted by singer Arijit Singh on his Facebook page. The post was addressed to Salman Khan and requested the actor to not remove the song Jag Ghoomeya from his then-upcoming film Sultan.
'Tiger Zinda Hai' did well because of Katrina Kaif: Salman Khan
“Please do not remove the song that I sang for you in Sultan… I want to retire with at least one song of you in my library. Please do not take away this feeling,” posted the Tum He Ho singer.
The Salman and Arijit tussle supposedly started back in 2013, when the Veer star was hosting an award show. Arijit apparently said, "Kya sir, sula diya aapne?” to Salman which offended him.
Even after two years, Salman does not seem to have forgotten whatever Arijit did that rubbed him the wrong way. This is evident in some latest reports from the team of upcoming film Welcome to New York, which features a cameo by the actor.

As per sources, the film’s team also wanted to include a song by Arijit in it but his version was apparently rejected by Salman.
“Arijit has sung the rough scratch of the track which was to be used in the film. However, Salman was quite miffed, and he told the makers, ‘Anyone in the fraternity could croon the track but Arijit,’ SpotBoye quoted a source as saying.
Welcome To New York will hit the screens on February 23, 2018 with Diljit Dosanjh and Sonakshi Sinha in leading roles.
