LARKANA: This is in response to the article titled ‘Without Asma Jahangir, Pakistan is poorer’ by Shahzaib Khan published in this newspaper on February 13th. I agree with the writer. The country has lost a strong voice that tirelessly strived for a better and tolerant society.
She was a fearless fighter and defender of democracy. Incarceration, house arrest and threats could not deter her from pursuing her humanitarian cause and see democracy flourish in the country. Asma has left behind a powerful legacy, the one that we need to follow for a better Pakistan.
