LAHORE: The government has initiated an amendment to the blasphemy law that does not only prescribe punishment for a blasphemer but will now also award the same to the one who would falsely accuse another of committing blasphemy. The step is significant in curtailing the misuse of the blasphemy law, which has also been used to settle personal scores.
