A large number of locals visited and the event remained a source of attraction for them.
According to results, in the imported dog, the greyhound of Khan Farhan Khan from Lucky Marwat stood first while greyhounds of Raja Sajjad from Azad Kashmir and Chaudhry Tanvir Alma from Jhehlum got the second and third positions respectively.
In the country-bred, greyhound of Chaudhry Naseer Ahmad stood first, while greyhounds of Kala Khan of Sialkot and Chaudhry Manzar Basher secured the second and third positions respectively.
In another category of the country-bred contest, greyhound of Chaudhry Javed from Islamabad got the first position while greyhounds of Dr Haroon Zaman from Faisalabad and Haji Hayat stood the second and third respectively.
UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar chaired the prize distribution ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, he said that such events depict the colours of the rural culture. He said that it also provided the opportunity to the people to entertain and witness the greyhound races.
Former DCO Chaudhry Asif Iqbal, organisers Raja Zarar Sajjad, Mian Ashiq, Dr Haroon Zaman, Dr Muhammad Jalal Arif among others attended the championship.
