Imports and exports face delays at EPZ

KARACHI: A delegation of Karachi Customs Agents Association comprising its president Faisal Mushtaq, Senior Vice President Mohammad Amin Essani, General Secretary Mohammad Aamir and Information Secretary Rana Zahid Farooq and members of export sub-committee had a detailed meeting with model customs collectorate export regarding issues at Export Processing Zone Authority. Mushtaq informed that initiatives taken by the MCC-Export (Port Qasim) can only be fruitful if the infrastructure at the EPZ is improved. In this regard, he also requested EPZ authority that a proper area of examination and proper weighbridges be included in the facility of EPZ, for smooth clearances of import and exports consignments.
