Institutions must work within their constitutional limits: PM Abbasi

Referring to conspiracies against ruling government it continued developmental work

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday said "institutions must prioritize working within their constitutional limits for country’s development"

“Public representation is a tough task, an area with able representatives encompass the potential of development,” he said addressing the gathering at National Health programme.

Referring to conspiracies against the ruling government the premier said that despite sit-ins and protests against the government, it continued developmental work.

Abbasi gives go-ahead to PIA, PSM privatisation

“When the government came into rule the industries were dysfunctional. The existing government ended energy crisis and contributed 10,000 megawatts of electricity to the national grid,” the premier added.

Abbasi said that Senate elections will take place on March 3, dishonesty will not be tolerated, will compete against money-backed candidates, public will give its verdict in July 2018.

Regarding judiciary and parliament the PM said that the two institutions "must respect each other and abide by the law."

“We respect the courts, decisions made in Parliament should also be accepted, Parliament is the only institution audit of which is conducted after every fives year and is conducted by the public.”
