Illegal Occupation: OPC retrieves properties woth Rs93m

The OPC with the help of DOPCs got properties vacated and handed them over to owners

LAHORE: The Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab helped expatriate Pakistanis retrieve 17 properties worth Rs93.3 million from illegal occupants during the last two weeks. This was stated by OPC Vice Chairperson Shaheen Khalid Butt while presiding over the meeting of the OPC officers on Friday. DG Syed Javed Iqbal Bokhari, Additional DG Agha Yousaf, Directors Asad Naeem, Raja Zubair, Ishratullah Niazi, Chairman Public facilitation Committee Sajid Chaudhry, Coordinator Haji Nawaz and other senior officers attended the meeting. Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti said that the properties situated in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Narowal, Pakpattan, Jehlum, Sahiwal, Okara, Toba Tek Singh Mandi Bahauddin and Jhang Districts were under illegal occupation. The OPC with the help of relevant District Overseas Pakistanis Committees (DOPCs) got the properties vacated and handed them over to the owners, he said.
