He said, “Interests of Balochistan will be accorded top priority in any kind of investment in the province.”
Bizenjo said that energy shortage could be reduced in Balochistan by benefitting from solar energy.
The Chinese officials showed interest in solar energy and other public sector projects in the Awaran area of Balochistan for making investments. The other sectors in which the delegation expressed their interest included construction of micro grid station and transmission lines.

The chief minister said that Balochistan has an important opportunity for development through China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and “we will take advantage of this mega project for speedy development of the province”.
He said that the country’s energy needs could be catered to through investment in natural resources, including oil and gas.

“The people of Balochistan are the true owners of natural resources and it is the government’s responsibility to ensure its best use for the benefit of the people and the province,” Bizenjo added.

Pakistan, China to treat all investors equally

He said in the past, the Balochistan Board of Investment (BBI) was not properly utilised for brining investment in the province, but his government was making efforts to fully functionalise and activate the BBI for encouraging investment in the province and “soon positive results of the efforts will be visible”.
The chief minister said, “We are enjoying good cordial ties with China. The government will provide all facilities, including security, to the Chinese investors in the province.”

He said that poverty in the province would soon be eradicated with the completion of ongoing development projects and coming investment.
He underlined the need for focusing on education and technical training in order to run such projects.
