KARACHI:

Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon has stressed the need for a timely completion of the development projects in the province while addressing the delegates of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) from various districts here on Friday.

The minister pointed out that a 12-member committee has been formed to monitor the completion of the on-going development projects and that it will ensure that the development schemes in the province are completed on time.

Memon revealed that in the next fiscal budget the amount allocated for the development and welfare activities will be increased.

He said that special attention is being paid towards the districts affected by last year’s flood.

Provincial governments have come under scrutiny in recent months for their inability to spend the money allocated to them under development funds by the federal government, resulting in lower economic growth.
