Imran Khan’s overture to Chaudhry Nisar

Imran Khan has sent an overture to Chaudhry Nisar and urged him to join his party

LAHORE: Of late, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has become a host party to disgruntled members from other political parties. Previously, the party accepted former members of the PPP, the PML-Q and the PML-N, in a bid to strengthen its political footing. The latest instance of which is PTI chairman Imran Khan inviting Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan from the PML-N to join his party. Although the former interior minister is still a member of the PML-N, however, since the ouster of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz taking a more central position in the running of the party affairs, the feud between Nisar and Maryam Nawaz has surfaced quite strongly.

Hence, trying to make most out of the situation, Imran Khan has sent an overture to Chaudhry Nisar and urged him to join his party. As the disagreement between the two aforementioned is over the new leadership of the party and not ideological in nature, a nod to the PTI chairman from Chaudhry Nisar is quite less of a possibility.
