While addressing the business community at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Rajwana said he had discussed the business community's concerns regarding CPEC with the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan. He said that Chinese companies are interested in joint ventures and investments in Pakistan's textile, steel and agriculture sectors.
Terming the business community as the backbone of the economy, Rajwana advised ICCI to send a written proposal to the prime minister and Punjab's chief minister for the establishment of a new industrial zone for the business communities. He said businessmen were making useful contribution to tax revenue and stressed that tax authorities should take measures to reduce trust deficit.
