Rangers arrest 10 suspects

Rangers also claimed to have recovered arms, ammunition and narcotics from the suspects' possession

KARACHI: As many as 10 suspects were nabbed on Friday by the Rangers during ongoing targeted raids in the metropolis.

According to a Rangers spokesperson, a suspected gangster was arrested during a targeted raid conducted by the paramilitary force in Lyari's Baghdadi area. He was identified as Yousuf Khan alias Akhtar. According to the spokesperson, the suspect belonged to a gang based in Lyari and was involved in extortion as well as facilitating terrorist activities.

Four more suspects were apprehended by the paramilitary force during raids conducted in the Khokhrapar and Malir areas. The suspects were identified as Faisal, Lal Bux alias Babu, Faizan Arsalan and Junaid. According to the spokesperson, they were involved in various cases of robberies.

Meanwhile, five suspects, identified as Bilal, Fazal, Saddam, Mujahid and Shakeel, were arrested during a raid conducted on a tip-off in the Shah Latif area. The spokesperson claimed that they were involved in drug peddling.

The Rangers also claimed to have recovered arms, ammunition and narcotics from the suspects' possession. The arrested men were later handed over to the police.
