The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that Karachi will experience rain in the next 48 hours, reported Express News.

According to reports, Balochistan is expected to receive strong winds from the west today due to which Karachi may experience rainfall on Saturday and Sunday. The rain may also lead to a drop in temperature in the metropolis leading to colder weather.

Weather turns chilly after rain, snowfall in Quetta

The city may also experience a low temperature of 13.5 degrees Celsius today.

According to the Met office, Quetta, Makran and Kalat division may also experience rainfall.

On Sunday, the Met office predicts “rain (with snowfall over the hills)  at scattered places in K-P, FATA, Upper Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, Kalat divisions and southern Punjab.”

On January 23, Quetta’s dry weather on Monday turned chilly after heavy rains coupled with cold winds and snowfall lashed the city. Snowfall and rain continued for hours in many parts of Balochistan, including Quetta.

After a gap of several years, major parts of Pakistan received simultaneous winter showers in December last year. According to the Met department, yearly data showed that 2017’s December was the wettest since 2012.
