A delegation of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday visited industrial areas in Kuala Lumpur and had a meeting with Malaysian industrialists. The objective of the trip was to set guidelines for knowledge and experience-sharing which would be equally beneficial for private sectors of the two countries. LCCI President Malik Tahir Javaid said both countries had a lot to learn from each other, therefore, their private sectors should establish closer contacts and ensure exchange of delegations on a reciprocal basis. He said the Malaysian government deserved appreciation for playing an active role in industrialisation and economic development. Talking about the potential, the LCCI president said the agriculture sector of Pakistan produced best quality commodities and the country had a labour force of over 63.89 million.
