LAHORE: As clarified by the chief justice of Pakistan, the judges can ‘publicly’ respond to the criticism or statements from politicians made regarding the judiciary. Although the act might be justified as the due right of the judges, it still does not go well with the honoured position they have as members of the judiciary which is one of the pillars the institution of the state stands upon.
