Scam unearthed: NAB likely to summon CM in Multan Metro inquiry

Chief secretary called meeting on Wednesday to determine government’s stance and position in the case

LAHORE: In view of a NAB inquiry of Multan Metrobus project where Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif would likely be summoned, chief secretary called a meeting on Wednesday to determine government’s stance and position in the case.

A video-link meeting which Chief Secretary Captain (retd) Zahid Saeed presided from his residence at Aikman Road, GOR I, was mainly participated by secretary aviation and former Punjab Planning and Development Board chairman Irfan Elahi, Punjab Masstransit Authority Managing Director Sibtain Fazal Halim and former Multan Development Authority director general Asadullah Khan (former commissioner) who now is serving as secretary. The meeting reviewed the details of the Multan Metrobus project, especially sections under NAB investigation.
