“Journalists serving the country have a spotless character and the sacrifices rendered by them will never be forgotten,” said Chief Minister Bizenjo while addressing a ceremony on distribution of laptops among journalists at the Quetta Press Club on Tuesday. The event was organised by members of the press club.
Bizenjo for eliminating joblessness, poverty
Provincial ministers Tahir Mahmood, Ghulam Dastagir Badini, Prince Ahmed Ali, Quetta Mayor Dr Kalimullah and other officials were present on the occasion.
The Balochistan chief minister hoped that journalists would continue performing for the betterment of the country after being provided with laptops.
Bizenjo assured journalists that their issues would be addressed step-by-step.
Bizenjo - a man of substance
Bizenjo announced compensation of Rs1 million for the relatives of the martyred journalists.
Adviser to Balochsitan Chief Minister on Excise, Taxation and Transport Abdul Karim Nousherwani also announced Rs200,000 for the relatives of the martyred journalists.
Bizenjo expressed deep sorrow over the sad demise of renowned journalist Siddiq Baloch. He prayed that Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
The CM said that Baloch’s services would be remembered in the field of media in the country.
