Electricity Woes: Diamer holds a ‘bright future’

DIAMER: The total electricity requirement for Chilas and its adjacent areas is five megawatts, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Diamer Chilas, Munir Khan, informed on Thursday. Talking to APP, the officials said the region’s electricity requirement will be met once the many on-going projects to increase electricity production capacity are completed. “The future of Diamer is bright regarding the electricity issue.” He said that the people of Diamer will cooperate with the power department in reducing load-shedding through electricity conservation. Khan appealed the people of Chilas to switch off unnecessary bulbs and other electric equipments so that all the people of Diamer can get continuous supply of electricity.
