Cricket: CSA reinstates president

JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) has reinstated ousted president Mtutuzeli Nyoka and has ordered an independent investigation into their finances after a public spat over bonuses. Nyoka was fired following a feud with the organisation’s chief executive Gerald Majola over the payment of a $248,000 bonus to Majola after the staging of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in South Africa in 2009. Nyoka took CSA to court after the federation passed a vote of no confidence in him at a special meeting in February. The court found that Nyoka’s sacking was unlawful and should be set aside.
