Cricket: Jamshed, Hanif shine in pre-quarters

KARACHI: Left-handed opener Nasir Jamshed and Rashid Hanif gave match-winning performances to take their teams to the quarter-finals of the Pakistan Champions League Twenty20. Jamshed hit 116 laced with 16 fours and two sixes off 69 deliveries as Al-Noor Gymkhana amassed 184 for five against Airport Gymkhana (AG). In reply, they restricted AG to 116. In the other match, Hanif claimed four for 15 as Pak Korangi defeated AO Cricket Club by 28 runs to enter the last-eights. Crescent CC (Multan) and Nazimabad Gymkhana also won their quarter-finals to advance in the tournament.
