Is 'Jab We Met 2' on the cards?

The Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Jab We Met has been, and still is, one of the most popular films to date. Recently, the makers celebrated 10 years of the film and now, the director-actor duo is all set to come back together for another rom-com.

Apparently, director Imtiaz Ali is also planning on bringing the beloved on screen couple back for his next film, reported Pinkvilla.

When asked whether the rumours about the two re-uniting after a decade were true, Shahid responded, “Imtiaz and I are working together but it's not for Jab We Met 2." As he did not mention anything about Kareena, it can be assumed that the Padmaavat actor is open to the idea.

The director also shared his thoughts on his upcoming project, "Shahid and I want to do a film together and hopefully we will. However, these things are only announced when the fine print is finalised. We’re not announcing anything yet as nothing has been confirmed. There’s no secret but I cannot say anything until I finalise certain things; we won’t issue a statement."

Commenting on the same, when Kareena was recently asked if she’s doing the film, her answer was, "That thought hasn’t come to us yet. We’ve not come this far."

A source was quoted as saying, "The film kicks off in Mumbai in April and will be followed by an extensive shoot, both in India and abroad. At the moment, Imtiaz is still looking for a leading lady to be cast opposite Shahid for this rom-com," reported Times of India.
