A delegation of Sindh Police, led by AIG Ghulam Azfar Mahesar, visited the control room of Welfare Eye, Local Eye and 111 Intelligence system which were established at Capital City Police Officer’s (CCPO) office on December 30, 2017.
CCPO Amin Wains and SSP Admin Rana Ayyaz Salim had briefed the delegation about the working of the system and development of the software.
On January 29, Sindh IG Allah Dino Khawaja wrote a letter to Punjab IG Arif Nawaz Khan. The letter read: “On December 30, 2017, Welfare AIG Ghulam Azfar Mehesar visited Lahore and held a detailed discussion about welfare projects of CCPO Lahore. It gives me immense pleasure to convey that feedback received by the undersigned from the Welfare AIGP regarding efforts and steps taken for the welfare of Punjab Police under various heads. The staff dedicated for the purpose deserves appreciation.”
It further read: “In view of above, I would also like to request you to provide due assistance (technical/training of staff) to Sindh Police for launching/developing such welfare projects/programmes for police personnel.”
A similar letter had been written by Balochistan Police to Punjab Police Information Technology DIG on January 23. The letter written by AIG Information Technology Balochistan Police and was related to new software programmes for public service.
It read: “With reference to the letter received from SSP Admin, Lahore and further telephonic discussion with DIG IT, Punjab, DG/IT Operations, PITB and SSP Admin, Lahore, it is stated that the Balochistan Police is determined and focused to introduce multiple information technology interventions and initiatives to equip the force with the modem IT tools and software. This will certainly help in dealing with the multifaceted and multidimensional challenges of crime and terrorism, developing a comprehensive database of vital information, establishing an effective mechanism of man management and setting up a responsive and efficient welfare system for the Police force.
“In this regard, as discussed with the police officers, the Punjab police, with the help of Punjab Information Technology Board, has already introduced many IT related projects. These IT programmes have proved to be a success story in providing sustainable relief to the people, fighting outlaws and anti-state elements and uplifting morale of force by ensuring different welfare measures.”
