A love struck Indian boy took his own life during a video call with his lover on Monday, Express News reported.

Ubhas Kumar, a Patna resident, accidentally shot himself while he was video calling his girlfriend.

Sources said that Kumar had called his girlfriend and then threatened to end his own life. His girlfriend pleaded with him to put down the gun and take out the bullets to which he eventually agreed to do.

However, Kumar pressed the trigger by mistake leading to his death.

Subsequently, family members called him repeatedly to find out his whereabouts but to no avail.

As a result, they broke down of his room to find him in his room to see his body with the phone in one hand and the pistol in the other.

Sources also said that Kumar was suffering from severe stress after his girlfriend rejected his marriage proposal.

He had tried to take his own life on a previous occasion as well.

There has been a sharp upsurge in the number of suicide rate by heartbroken lovers in India.

Recently, an Indian girl made a suicide video and sent it to her ex-lover after he refused to tie the knot with her.
