Turbat university striving to make a mark

ViC said institution attained several milestones in the four years since its foundation

QUETTA: Turbat University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir has said that his institution attained several milestones in the four years since its foundation.

“Disseminating quality education and observing merit and discipline strictly in academic, administrative and financial matters is the top priority of the university,” said Sabir while presiding over a meeting in the main campus on the occasion of start of new academic year on Sunday.

Registrar Dr Hanifur Rahman, Faculty of Law Dean Dr Gul Hassan, Faculty of Management Sciences Dean Dr Munir Ahmed, director finance Gulam Farooq, director planning Muhammad Hayat, controller examinations Tanvir Ahmed, director Gwadar Campus Ijaz Ahmed, education department chairperson Mehnaz Aslam, economics department chairman Dr Abdul Qayyum and other heads of the teaching department were in attendance.

“Preparations for organising second convocation of the university are underway in which the participation of President Mamnoon Hussain is expected,” he added.

He said besides faculty of law, 10 Bachelor of Science (BS) programmes have been started in the University and people belonging to Makran division and other parts of the province are pursuing their higher studies.
