Default: Power company warns of supply cut

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has warned federal, provincial and district government departments that if they did not pay their dues worth Rs250 million, the company will disconnect their power supply. A Fesco spokesman, while giving details, said Pakistan Railways owed Rs23.5 million up to March 31, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines had to pay Rs1.3 million and a leading telecom company owed Rs1.1 million. Furthermore, arrears of National Drainage Programme rose to Rs1.1 million, Punjab Irrigation and Power Department owed Rs41.5 million, Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Department had to pay Rs1.3 million and Water and Sanitation Agency Faisalabad owed Rs82.3 million.
